A Special Friend

The sun set over the hill and the moon shone down it's magical beams of light in through the windows of the store.

Higgins Department Store was not just any toy store but magical home to special toys.

Each night five special dolls searched their magical mirror to find themselves a home that needed a special friend.

These dolls were named Annie, Holly, Tessie, Suzie and Lulu, and each doll had a gift to help each little girl.

Annie was able to bring joy to each little girl by painting her world with colour and was chosen to go to a little girl who had just lost her daddy.

Holly was able to make friends wherever she went and she was chosen to go to a little girl who had no friends and was very lonely.

Tessie was very sporty and loved to run and play all the time and she was chosen to go to a little girl who had lost her dog and needed a new friend to play with.

Suzie was a very good listener and was able to comfort anyone, she was chosen to go to a little girl who was being bullied at school.

Lulu was able to give confidence to anyone who needed it and she was chosen to go to a little girl who was to shy to play with the others on the playground.

As each doll looked through their magical mirror each found a little girl they would go help.

For each little girl to find their special friend they had to make a wish in the store for it to come true.

When each doll heard this wish they glowed a special glow that only the chosen little girl could see.

As the weeks went by each little girl came into the toy store and made their wish.

And each special doll made their way to their chosen home to help out their new friend in need.

So next time you're in a toy store, don't forget to make a wish.

You never know what magic is happening around you.

Serial Cut.com

We were asked to look at the website Serialcut.com and look in how it works as a functioning website. The Serial Cut companycomes across to me as being very professional and a corporate brand that really takes time and effort into making their website user friendly and appealing.
At looking into some of their work I found it to be very interesting and intriguing. Their work is very detailed and very athestically pleasing, as it looks into depth and perception of type and how it can be use and manipulated into a 3D image.

I think their website is able to mix both convetional and radical to work in harmony together to create an image for themselves that is different and original to the competition of other relating sites.

I like the simplicity of their site and how easy it is to get around and see other images with barely any confusion or frustration. I really like some of their images, these are the ones that really appealed to me...
